Noted Malayam/Tamil actor/directorCochin Haneefa passed away on Feb 2 after a prolonged struggle with liver cancer. The actor was last seen on screen in the movie Vettaikaran. He will also be seen in the Ajith starrer Asal where he has acted in an important role. He was also part of the Arya starrer Madrasspatinam with a few of his scenes still remaining to be shot. Cochin Haneefa has proved his mantle as a great director and an renowned performance artist. He tolds the distinction of acting with all major tamil stars.
