Amudha Thamizhnadan has come out with an allegation that Endhiran is a replication of his published and copyrighted short story titled Jookiba. The author has claimed that this story was first published in 1996 in the magazine Iniya Udayam and was republished in the book Thik Thik Deepika, by Charu Prabha Publications.
He also accused director Shankar for copying his copyrighted version of the short story in the year 1997, one year after it was published, and passing it off as his own.
Amudha Thamizhnadan and his advocate Edwick have filed a complaint with the Chennai police and have said that a civil case will be made against director Shankar and Endhiran’s producer initially. A criminal case will follow, they said.
